Oleg Iakovlev (Male Color Portraits)
Oleg Iakovlev (b. 1986) is a multidisciplinary visual artist, documentary filmmaker, and photographer, currently based in Tel Aviv. His creative practice spans the exploration of identity, home, language, body, and memory. With a diverse background in visual arts, psychology, and film production, Oleg's work uniquely integrates these fields to address human experiences and narratives through both traditional and innovative mediums.
His artistic journey has been shaped by residencies, including a 2022 scholarship from Bauhaus University of Weimar for his documentary "Lucky Break," which delves into personal identity (was screened at Tel Aviv Gay Fest-2025).
Oleg’s work has been exhibited in London, Berlin, Moscow, and other cities, with notable projects including “The Favorite Place,” a documentary series that captures the emotional connection people have with their cities.
