Petyo Petrov Fantastic Male Art

Petyo Petrov (b. 1968), is originally from Pleven, Bulgaria, now residing in Holland.
His artistic journey began at an early age, culminating in his graduation from the "Professor Venko Kolev" National School of Applied Arts in Troyan, Bulgaria, in 1987.
After completing his education, Petyo moved to Spain, where he lived for eight years, through-which he held his exhibitions and actively participated in collective displays. His artwork garnered recognition, and he is proud to count celebrities such as Pedro Almodóvar, Rossy de Palma, Carmen Sevilla, the Duchess of Alba, and Rafaela Carra among his esteemed collectors.
Upon his return to Bulgaria, Petyo engaged with the art community through several television interviews in Pleven and Sofia, as well as hosting his own exhibitions. Eventually, he relocated to the Netherlands, where he has resided ever since. In Friesland, he continues to showcase his work through solo and group exhibitions while also focusing on private sales.Petrov is primarily known as an abstract and modern artist whose creative repertoire spans various styles, including figurative art, queer art, minimalism, cosmic art, and graphics on paper. A lifelong passion for painting has evolved into a professional career, with inspiration drawn from the mysteries of extraterrestrial life and the vastness of the universe, as well as a deep exploration of queer identity and eroticism.
He believes in a unique connection with alien life, which is vividly reflected in his “cosmic art” paintings. Alongside these themes, he embraces his sexual orientation, allowing it to serve as a profound source of inspiration in his work. Through his vivid and evocative paintings, he explores themes of intimacy, queer identity, and self-acceptance. His artistic flexibility enables him to draw inspiration from diverse sources and experiences, resulting in a rich and varied portfolio that shows his multifaceted talents.
