In the Hebrew language, the expression "Tahat Esh" ("Under Fire") can take on a different meaning each time, depending on context, intonation, and the identity of the speaker. The meaning changes whether the speaker is a man or a woman, and whether the conversation is about sex or war. It shifts if the phrase is uttered in complete seriousness or in a playful tone.

PAN Homo Art Gallery's 2026 Pride Exhibition, marking five years since the founding of the only commercial gallery for gay art in Israel and the entire Middle East, focuses this year on a theme that expresses the beauty and uniqueness of art created by the gay community. Alongside this, it offers an artistic processing and illustration of the hardship experienced as Jews and Israelis living through the most severe crisis since the founding of the state - a crisis sending shockwaves across the entire world.

Recent years in Israel have been characterized by the polarization of all aspects of life, the radicalization of discourse, and the experience of being under constant attack. The 2020s began with COVID-19 lockdowns - an assault on rights such as personal space and privacy - and continued with physical attacks and a tangible threat to our lives in the form of war and an unimaginable massacre.

The phrase "under fire" has become a painful, literal, and violent environmental reality within which we must exist. Yet, at the same time, when used within homosexual sexual discourse, it is still considered an expression of attraction, a compliment, and a form of praise.

In many ways, the city of Tel Aviv itself embodies this very tension between attraction and pain, between attack and courtship, between beauty and fear. PAN's Pride Exhibition 2026 seeks to give visual expression to the diversity, pressure, pain, heroism, and fateful destiny of contemporary life for gay men in Israel.

The exhibition is made possible thanks to the kind support of the Israeli LGBT Parents association TEHILA, Yuvalim City-Boy Real Estate building the TLV Gayborhood, Hayotzer Winery, and Liliana Design, making raw, wild and naturally inspired gold and silver jewelry. During the opening there will be an open studio and a launch of a new collection of rings for men.

בשפה העברית, הביטוי "תחת אש" עשוי לעטות בכל פעם משמעות אחרת, כאשר זה תלוי הקשר, אינטונציה וזהות הדובר. המשמעות תהיה שונה אם זהות הדובר היא גבר או אישה, אם מדובר בשיחה על מין או מלחמה. המשמעות תהיה שונה אם הביטוי ייאמר במלוא הרצינות או בטון מליצי.

תערוכת הגאווה של גלריה פָּאן לשנת 2026 לציון חמש שנים להיווסדה של הגלריה המסחרית היחידה לאמנות גאה בישראל ובמזרח התיכון כולו, מתמקדת השנה בתמה המבטאת את היופי והייחוד של האמנות מידי אנשים המשתייכים לקהילה הגאה בישראל, לצד עיבוד אומנותי והמחשה של הקושי, כיהודים וכישראלים, החווים את המשבר החמור ביותר מאז קום המדינה, שמכה גלים ואדוות ב כל העולם.

השנים האחרונות בישראל מאופיינות בהקצנה של כלל האספקטים בחיים; בהקצנת השיח ובחוויית התקפה בלתי פוסקת. שנות העשרים של המאה ה-21 החלו עם סגרי הקורונה בהתקפה על זכויות כגון מרחב אישי ופרטיות, והמשיכו עם התקפות פיזיות ואיום ממשי על חיינו בדמות מלחמה וטבח בלתי נתפש.

הביטוי "תחת-אש" הפך להיות מציאות סביבתית כואבת, מילולית ואלימה שבתוכה עלינו להתקיים, אך יחד עם זאת - כאשר נאמר במסגרת שיח מיני הומוסקסואלי עדיין נחשב גם ביטוי של משיכה, מחמאה ופירגון.

במובנים רבים, העיר תל אביב בעצמה מבטאת את המתח הזה שבין משיכה לכאב, בין התקפה לחיזור, בין יופי לפחד. תערוכת הגאווה 2026 של פָּאן מבקשת להביא לידי ביטוי חזותי את הגיוון, הלחץ, הכאב, הגבורה וגזירת הגורל של החיים העכשוויים של גברים הומואים בישראל.

התערוכה מתאפשרת ונערכת בחסות ארגון ההורים תהל"ה, חברת יובלים סיטי-בוי נדל"ן שבונים את הגייברהוד של תל אביב, סדרת סקאץ' של יינות היוצר ומעצבת התכשיטים ליליאנה דיזיין שיוצרת תכשיטי זהב וכסף בעלי אופי גולמי ופראי, בהשראת הטבע ובטכניקות פיסול ייחודיות.

בערב הפתיחה תושק מיני־קולקציית טבעות לגברים, לצד סטודיו פתוח שבו יוצגו התכשיטים והעבודות שלה.
